Pool Day!!!

We have known that Addie loves the bath for some time now. She is always kicking and laughing...so, we thought the pool would be the same. Being the new parents we are, we searched everywhere for a newborn bathing suit for her. They are hard to find! After looking at a few stores, we finally got one a Wal-Mart that looked small but was for a 12 month old. Mind you, our daughter is almost 3 months...it fit!!!! The pineapple made us laugh and seeing her in it made us laugh even more. :)

We invited our close friends the Hamons and Jelso's to join us and it was a great time! We swam with the kids and had a BBQ afterwards. Addie was amazing and is a natural swimmer. She was rather serious the whole time but she never cried. We decided to give her a little underwater experience before we got her out...Chris had the honors. She was great after a few tears of being shocked. Needless to say, this pool is going to be a lifesaver for us this summer in the Paso heat!

Tummy Time

So, I have been wanting to take some pictures of Addie on her stomach since I think they always turn out cute...but our little one hates being on hers. Luckily, she already has a strong head/neck so I don't worry too much about not "practicing." Today she as in a good mood so we too the risk and she loved it. She saw the camera and was following it the whole time. I still think she knows the camera sound all too well from hearing it constantly while being in my belly.

We just thought she was so cute tonight when we got home we wanted to share her with you all. She was all tucked into her car seat and looked adorable... we love our little girl.

Addie's White Hat

We recently bought Addie a very cool white hat from Target. It is incredibly funny to us and so we thought we would share it with you all. We took her on a walk today although it is not totally fashionable it is functional and keeps the sun out of her eyes. We hope you get a laugh out of her hat as well...

Our "Hooded Monster"

For some reason this is a saying that we joke about in our house. Chris loves when Addie wears her jacket hoods...when she is in her carseat, you can barely see her eyes. It always makes us laugh.

2 Months Old!

Where has the time gone! We cannot believe that our little one is already 2 months old. She has changed so much and each week we find ourselves laughing more and more with (or at) her. The latest thing with Addie is that she knows she has hands! Yipee! She loves sucking on her hands if she can stop moving them for a little while.

Today she also got her first set of shots. I think I was dreading this appointment for the last few weeks. Needless to say, we both shed some tears and Addie gets as much Mommy and Daddy cuddles as she wants. It breaks your heart to see them turn bright red from crying so hard.

Naturally we had to have a two month old photo shot. Isn't she cute?! Chris and I are a little smitten with her....

Sleeping Through the Night!

So, like most moms, I decided to join the group who reads some parenting books. Naturally the hot topic with new moms is sleep so my friend Shiloh let me borrow two great books. I read one entire book on Saturday...Chris and I got inspired. The premise was giving your child a flexible schedule and reading sleepy signs (we were not good at this). So, we gave it a shot and each night Addie is sleeping better and throughout the day she is a happier baby (of course, as I write this, she is fussy). Last night was the best of all. She slept from 9pm until 6am!!!! I actually had to wake her up to feed her for my own relief but it was amazing! I had to take some pictures of it...she looks so sweet in her crib. :)
