Our dear friend (and babysitter for us all) Hannah has ventured off to college in Missouri. The Jelso's hosted a going away party for us all to say good bye to Hannah and pray for her before she left. For some reason, all the kids opted to dress up half way through the evening in costumes. Naturally we had to snap off a picture of the kids all dressed up with Hannah...especially because she is the queen of costumes. We will miss you Hannah!
On the way up to Capitola, we stopped at the Monterey Aquarium with Addie. She absolutely loved it! Our sweet daughter is such an animal child despite the fact that her parents are not. She squealed at everything she saw, especially when she got to pet "Mr. Ray" (the sting ray). She is still talking about the trip and everything she saw.
The Lady Bugs of the house. Addie has enjoyed playing dress up more and more.
We had our yearly trip with Chris's family to Capitola at the end of July. It was a great trip...and luckily no one got sick. Addie and Eiler became quite a pair and enjoyed playing together. When we got home, she kept calling him "her buddy." Papa celebrated his birthday while we were all their so we took a family outing to the Mystery Spot in Santa Cruz. It was rather entertaining to us all, especially seeing everyone trying to keep their balance.
...Some of our favorite boys to be around. We had the joy of having them for an evening so Tony and Janay could enjoy some time together. They played in the pool, took a bath and crawled through Chris's carwash (tunnel creation). Addie was in heaven to have them both here...especially Jayden...her husband-to-be.
All of Paso is excited during the 2 weeks of the fair. We kicked off the start of the festivities with watching the cattle drive come through town...yes, where we live is small, farmer town more than one thinks. Funnily, we waited almost an hour to see the cattle drive which went by us in about 5 minutes but the kids loved it. Horses and cows are always a hit. Later that day, we took Addie to the opening night of the fair where she rode rides. The rocket ride (aka by Addie as the Buzz Lightyear Ride) became the favorite. We will hopefully make it one more time to the fair...if our stomachs can handle the food.
