Addie's Tricks

Addie is getting pretty good at different signs and words (if you could call them that). She was in the mood to do some tricks yesterday so we grabbed some on video. We didn't get them all but it is sure fun for us to watch...

Easter Fun

It's funny to see how much Addie has grown this past year as we looked at last year's Easter celebration with friends. We woke up to an "egg hunt" for Addie...basially Chris put 5 eggs in a straight line leading to her basket. :) She loved the yogurt melts in the eggs. After church we had a great lunch and relax time with our dear friends, The Jelsos. I love that all the holidays that we are in town for almost always are spent with them. They are a blessing to us.

Where's the hair?

We are trying...still need more hair. Maybe once we get the bows in, people will not call her a boy. :)

Bishop Peak

Chris spent Sunday afternoon with two of his close YL guys. They boys have not hiked Bishop's before so they went on an adventure...a little poison oak later, they had a great time.

Picture of the week

Addie feeding herself...need I say more. Oh, and yes...it is up her nose and on her eye lids. Love it!

Leader Appreciation Dinner

God is good...we have such amazing leaders in our area. We were missing some this night but it was a great time to be together. Our great committee organized a night to eat, laugh, be encouraged and have fun as an area. We are thankful for each person involved in this ministry all all levels: leaders, committee members, donors, prayer support...all.

Morro Bay

We realized that we haven't taken Addie to the beach...sad considering we live about 25 minutes away. We opted for Morro Bay this trip and loved it. Birds, boats and water...all of Addie's favorites. Every time she saw a bird she touched her nose, a boat would make her say "blah" (boat in Addie world) and water makes her touch her nose too. We are still working on the signing part. :) Needless to say, we had a great little day trip.

A Blake Break

Last week was great. Chris took 2 days as personal days to just "be" and rest. Wow, I wish we had that every week. It was wonderful to be a family and not get stressed or have something to do constantly. We took on a family task of building this huge planter box for the back yard since we have the worst drainage ever. Yes, it was a task for but it was great to work with our hands and see the finished product. I don't think we have a future in wood work but it was fun for the time. Addie was a trooper and loved being outside for about 5 hours a day

.(I love this picture...he is so handsome and it screams that he is rested)
