Crazy Sleeping

I went to check on Addie yesterday as it took her awhile to fall asleep. When I walked in I found something that was so sweet. As you can see, she found a different way to sleep. I laughed and wondered how long she could sleep like that....30 minutes. (she's the queen of 30 minute naps)

Boys in the Bath?!?!?

Yep. All of Addie's friends are boys since our dear friends the Cranks moved so Addie is getting the feeling of what it's like to have brothers. We have really gotten to know and love the Pulliams and since they live right down the street, it's easy to just have spontaneous hang out sessions. We saw them the other night on a walk and invited them over for a little Wii fun...Chris has gotten me hooked on Wii tennis and bowling. :) As it was approaching bedtime, we decided to throw both the kiddos in the bath. Addie and Rylan had a blast....as well as the parents. We got a kick out of it!

Our Great Pumpkin

We have had a great weekend! We had NOTHING planned and really didn't have to be anywhere besides hang out as a family. As I type, the sun is shinning in, Addie's asleep, and Chris is being manly in the backyard. Let's see, so far he's broken the hose and water drip line...but I do appreciate all he is doing! Correction...Addie was asleep.

Yesterday Chris's folks and Grandma came down for the day. We had a great time with them and wish we were closer. We didn't have anything on the agenda besides just hang out together so we ventured down to the park for lunch and a stroll. Grammy spoiled Addie with a few fun gifts and then we all headed out to the pumpkin patch...of course after stopping by the candy store. :)

So the pumpkin patch...we've gone to this one for the last 4 years and like it because it has random props to take pictures with. The only bummer this year was that all the pumpkins were picked over and only rotten ones remained. Needless to say, we bought some butternut squash and no pumpkins. However, the highlight for me was the Charlie Brown Great Pumpkin sign with Addie in front of it...she was so cute!

Weekend of firsts

Let's start with Friday....
Chris has been working in the press box at the high school football games for a few years now. The announcer is called "The Voice of the Bearcats." We have always joked that Chris will get to be "The Voice" one day...his wildest dream came true on Friday. :) This was no ordinary night though, it was homecoming in Paso. He did an amazing job and we got a few pictures of him in action. Addie girl got to experience her first Bearcat football game for a little while before it was bedtime. Too much fun!

Addie in the press box...loving it...not really.

Saturday...
Paso has a parade in town called Pioneer Days. Atascadero (the neighboring town/competitor) has one another weekend called Colony Days. We couldn't make it to Paso's and since Chris knew some kids in the Atascadero one, we headed down for a fun morning...had to pick up donuts and coffee first! Addie got to watch her first parade in the North County and loved the loud music and horses. She was all about waving to people passing by.

Helping Dad...

Chris was needing to take some pictures of the golf tournament signs and he knew a photographer to call...his wife. We brought Addie too and she did a great job climbing on the signs.

Yes, that's food on her face. :)

Spa Time for Addie

My brother and wife call their daughter's bath a "spa" and I thought it was so funny and perfect for Addie. She LOVES the water and could be in the bath forever. She has foam letters and little animal things to keep her entertained but honestly splashing and rolling around in the water is her favorite.

As for the letters stuck to her face, I did that. :) Chris always knows when I do something funny to Addie because he says I get this giggle...needless to say, the giggle happened last night and I got a kick out of it. She kept them on her face for about 5 minutes!

Red...

I find it rather funny that I am constantly taking pictures of Addie with my "mommy camera" since the pictures are driving me crazy with how they turn out, but at least I am able to capture some of Addie's funny moments.

Sunday we went to the park with John, Shiloh and Jack after church for a little picnic. Addie has this new thing with her tongue...it's constantly out. She apparently found the grass so exciting, the tongue had to make it's appearance.

I love blueberries!!! Yes, I don't like to cook but for some reason I find joy in making Addie's food. Blueberries were the latest and she loved them for breakfast with some oatmeal. Her smile was priceless this morning!

Is that Chris Blake's baby?!?! For some reason I decided to dress the little girl in clothes that she never wears. This day was a striped red shirt and jeans...she looked like a boy. Randomly, Chris had a smiliar shirt on so I snapped off a picture. Wow!...they looked so much alike. Note to self: don't dress your daughter in a boy outfit. :)

What?!...Standiing?!

It's true. Addie can officially pull herself up onto things...especially in her crib. It's a whole new world for us yet again since we have to be even more aware now of what she's in to. The crib thing is cute but hard. Whenever we put her down to sleep (regardless how tired she is and how much she needs to nap), she will always pull herself up within the first minute. We'll go back in there and lay her down since she is still learning how to get back down...new game. We are a little concerned that she is going to wack her head on the side of the crib. Ahh, the joys of parenthood. :)

SLO time with Shiloh and Jack

Monday was amazing! I needed the break from work and life. Shiloh and I headed down to San Luis Obispo for a time to 1. eat Firestones and french fries, 2. walk around downtown and shop and 3. make a Costco run. The kids were great and we had a blast. We went to Costco last and little did I know since I don't have a membership, the carts and hold two kiddos. We put Addie and Jack in it together and got a great laugh. Yes, everyone was stopping us to comment but then like most kids, they got annoyed with each other. At first they were holding hands then Addie (being a girl) didn't want Jack to touch her anymore and fussed....made us laugh even more.
